Misty’s background is uniquely suited to serving the needs of San Antonio’s District 9, combining professional expertise with a deep commitment to her community. A proud graduate of Texas Tech University with a B.B.A. in Accounting, she built her career as an accountant for Clear Channel Communications and Pioneer Drilling in San Antonio. Her professional journey also led her into the legal field, where she excelled as a lead paralegal, handling complex cases and municipal matters for Texas cities and government entities—experience that gives her a distinct edge in navigating local government challenges.
For the past two years, Misty has served as the Director of Constituent Services for Bexar County Commissioner Grant Moody, giving her invaluable, boots-on-the-ground experience. This role has allowed her to connect directly with residents and businesses, learning firsthand the importance of open communication and accessibility. She has also gained a deep understanding of how to navigate government processes efficiently to address concerns and deliver results. This real-life experience has uniquely prepared her to hit the ground running and serve District 9 effectively from day one.
Outside of her career, Misty has been a dedicated community servant, giving her time as a precinct chair, HOA secretary, and an active PTO member. She and her husband, Adrian Spears, are proud parents to three daughters, and her faith remains a cornerstone of her life as an active member of Summit Church, where she regularly attends services.
Misty’s blend of professional expertise, legal knowledge, and community involvement make her a well-rounded and passionate advocate for District 9.
